Yumi has started sleeping on a dog bed right beside our bed. She loves it! I knew it was getting to be time for her to transfer out of the crate, she stays in a kennel enough during my school days, so we put her fleece bed on top of the dog bed and told her to go to bed and she did and stayed all night. Here she is sharing the bed with Aidan, who also never leaves the bed while she's on it.
Here she is making herself comfortable for the night. I think this is where Yumi will be sleeping from now on.
This is how Ardella feels about it. She's decided our bed is her bed now.
Yumi has her first evaluation on Thursday. I'm nervous. Yumi has things to work on, but I'm mostly pleased with her. She continues to do well on outings and is becoming more calm around the dogs - or at least I can tell her no and she'll leave the dogs alone. She gets distracted easily and I've caught her tracking jets in the sky. Obviously her eyesight is awesome! We have a new puppy in the neighborhood - a Shiba Inu, who was named Yumi. It can be interesting when the puppy is outside and everyone is calling, "Yumi, come!" Well, GDB does want instant recall! I think we'll have to avoid having the 2 Yumi's in the same vicinity (No, she did not cross the street when her name was called - she just wanted to thinking they were calling her over).
