Merry Christmas

We spent last evening with my daughter and husband and had an untraditional but lovely Christmas Eve dinner of chorizo dip with tortilla chips, paella, pickled vegetables and pumpkin pie, plus had We gave Keri and Ryan a Spanish cookbook once for Christmas, and Keri has been using it. The paella (shellfish-less) is a recipe they have frequently returned to. It is wonderful to have a daughter who entertains!

Gizmo and Isis are the dog and cat, respectively.

We took Yumi, who at 4 months is pushing 30 pounds. Here she is in the crate in the care before leaving. Her first trip where she isn't on the floor in the front - she's just too big now!

Here we are with Yumi, who was a pretty good girl in a new house with another dog who really wanted to play with her. The crate was a lifesaver when Yumi wanted to play with Gizmo in her larger dog manner.

I'm waiting for the family to arrive and then we'll be celebrating a quiet and simple Christmas together. I hope that the solstice holiday season has been peaceful and enjoyable for you all.
